Learning Drums

My first post!

A big part of my week is me teaching 11-18 yr olds how to play the drums. It's a great vibe watching the students improve and being an integral part of it. I break down drumming into five areas:-

Technique
Time
Musicalilty
Dynamics
and Coordination

and encourage students to improve systematically in each area. For any aspiring drummers out there, make sure you are doing something to improve each of these five skills. For today, get your head round triplets (3 evenly spaced notes within the main crotchet/quarter note pulse).
